Hi... I'm Brian. Im the human who performs behind the character of Axelroo and I would like to get a few things straight before we go on. One is that, yes, my lips are red but I do NOT wear lipstick; some people are born that way. Second, yes, Im know Im buff and I know im strong. Thanks for noticing but I don't get my pride off my size. Its a responsibility when no one else can lift an object and your sworn in. In fact, you'll find that Im an emmotional and sentimental wimp... nuff said. 3rd, sometimes my brain can be dead and my attention span can be shorter than Axelroo's fur. Other times though, my brain can pumping out 371292 thoughts a second and jumping between subjects with deep emmotional aspects that few other understand. Please excuse this flaw.. case closed. Are we okay with that? Cool, lets move on to the cool stuff.

I came to furry in 1997 when I got back from Neustadt, Germany as a german exchange student that summer. But ive been an addict since I was 6. It didn't come by cartoons or artwork for I didnt know such existed back then. It came by what I know as the plague which drives deep into your heard and aches till your suddenly transformed and ready to fulfill its commisions. My furriness came from a virus I had caught from a mascot after hugging him at a local fair. The difference is that I now appreciate this infectuous love that doesn't go away. I longed strongly to be in a costume since then but never had the chance till high school in which I summoned up the guts to ask my teacher if I could be "funky falcon" for a few games. On that home game night I felt totally changed as I looked into the bag with head and body suit inside. The obstacle was now going out in front of a whole bunch of immature high schoolers and dancing. At least I felt a sense of relief having finally reached the goal of putting a full costume on. Funny that Im never 100% satifisfied until im wearing a fursuit. I'll talk bout the whole mascot gig on the Mascotting section of this site. From then on I was the Easter Bunny and a St. Bernard working in the local neightborhood of which costumes I did some cool adlibs with. Im still working at drawing furries but until then I must hold off the yearning until my next chance :).

Why don't I make my own costumes? The answer is, I am, but I'm having a few problems due to my size. I fit perfectly in ton of costumes but it seems that McCall's and Simplicity's patterns have different standards. For some reason they think all mascots are small for their highest in most stores only goes up to a 48" bust. My bust is 52" which I guess in normal standards is HUGE! But I can still work with it being the patterns only need to be adjusted a bit. Funding back then was another problem since I did not have a real job. I did have a couple hundred after being the easter bunny. Just then, when I considered putting that into a fursuit my computer decided to break :(. Fortunatly, Im in the present with a job and money. I'm trying to make one before Conifur '99 which is a month from now, but I learned its never good to be in a rush even if I have to wait till next year.
